They're here, I'm back in hermit mode for the internet, but that means my livejournal lives.

Small update. Besides me being the usual stress bunny, their plan in Amsterdam was broken or whatever, so they had to wait 2 hours and a half or more for their next flight. So yeah, I was pretty much getting pissed of, being a controlefreak and all.
But she managed to get here, they were tired but both managed to stay up till 11pm. My parents are.. already.. spoiling her *pif*

I do not like my parents being all spoily from the first freaking NIGHT. Ohwell...

It's close to noon now, we're going eat breakfast. More updates shall follow.

I'm back as most of you will know. And I'm not happy.
But who would be happy being far away from his family, eh ?

Anyway, things are going typical Belgian style.. Alot of paperwork and walking around and avoiding the systems that are trying to screw you over. But now, I'm working in the videostore again and I ain't too happy. My habbits of working and living changed pretty drasticly.
This is all to the claim of Heather, my love, who said a family life changes a person.
Right now, I feel bad when I have alot of spare time, because it feels like I'm waisting time I could use productivly.
Also, when I'm at my job and not busy, i feel like I could do a harder job and earn more money with more days to work.
I was rather pissed off that I got to hear that my boss only paid me 7.5 euros an hour under the table. My dad said that in the factory, I could easely make 10 or 13 bucks an hour. Plus that kind of work, five days a week sounds really good.

But anyway.. I'm back. I'm hoping to see Ebb when he gets time off from Germany..
Love will conquer, not because it's love, but because the decission is my and Heathers :)

And I rather be miserable now if I know I can live there within the next 5 years.

Greets

    <lj:music>Bonobo - Pick up (Fourtet mix)</lj:music>

I had some spare time and I remembered I once took pictures of my kitties here in Canada.

Zak
Our youngest cat, only 3 years old and the only outdoor cat of the pack. He's a really sweet cat and tolerates his "mommy" Mikaylah with all the hauling she likes to do. He's a real begger though, when it comes to feeding him, since he can have whatever he left over from morning and dinner meals, since he eats less and has more physical activity. He gets real mean and demanding when
he's on catnip.

Lewis
Lewis is Heather's cat, since she loves him more then the rest of the family. Lewis is a cat who will talk to you and thinks most of the givin attention is for him, eventhough you call another cat's name.
He can be a real jackass wich is fortified by his morning miauwing for food and his frantic scratching at the door. He also gets mean and picks fights when he's hungry. He can look and be adorable and goes into this LSD trip when he's had catnip.

Monty
Monty is a work of art. It takes some time to like him, for he is a very affectionate cat and will get grumpy when he's not petted enough. He is very loving, however and almost never miauws except
when he's complaigning. He's rather small for his age and that makes him even more adorable.
We've also dubbed him "Queen Monty" for, and no offense, he acts rather fruity/faggoty. If he's petted he'll stand on the toes of his feet and he walks as if in high heels. When on catnip, Monty just flops anywhere and watches the others go nuts. His fetish is anything that is soft and plastic.
Plastic groccerybags are his biggest things in life next to getting pets. He is Heather's cat aswell, but I've come to claim him a bit more.

Madison and Beauregard sleeping
The next two cats are Uma's (Heather's mom) cats, although Madison was originally Heather's cat.
Madison is the Garfield of the bunch and Bo is... erm.. more like Stimpy. Madison only miauws when
he's looking for social contact of the humans in the house or when he gets his bowl of food. His miauw is the cutest of the bunch, since it's rather kittenlike, soft and high. He is overweight, although this summer he has lost alot of it, since we put him back on a diet food.
Fatty Maddy was the alphamale till late this summer and Bo was his companion, when Lewis took over.. Or atleast, Lewis acts like he's the Don around the house. Bo is part Siamese and has therefor a lifeband with Uma. He cries and whines at anything or even as soon as there is any physical contact. He is rather playfull and goes berserk on folded up socks, yet his claws are not something to mess with. I still barry scars from last Christmas.
I think Bo has no clue about what life is about, except eating, sleeping, whining, trying to get on Uma's lap and licking the other cats, wich can be rather annoying. Supposedly it is a mommy instinct, but it seems he just -needs- to lick and bath the other cats.
Madison and Bo spend most
of their time together in a couch.
(there are three links with three different photos incase you didn't noticed)

And those are my cats, wich I'll miss when I go back to Europe. My cat, Tabby, there has recently
passed away, so I'm gonna miss all my kitties.

Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

<lj:music>289. Neil Young - Rocking In The Free World</lj:music>

My little girl passed her 3rd swimming class today. She started out a month and a half ago, in the class for toddlers. She has passed so far and is floating by herself and jumping in the deep end. When she swims, she does need a floaty or lifejacket, but she does everything else by herself and is good at it. Note that my little girl is only 3 years old. She is now into the class for 4 to 6 year olds.
I was so proud of her, I bought her one of those "my first computer" things. It teaches her the letters, sounds, math and to fill in words. Ofcourse she can not do any of it yet, but she was so excited when she got it.

I've been getting closer to her and trying to be a better dad. She has getting less on my nerves or I just grew more patience. But she has become more of a daughter then she was a month ago.

Stress has also been hitting our house. We checked for help on immigration applications, and the bastard asked for $200 every consultation, as soon as we set a foot in his door. On top of that, he said that he has to ask $2,100 for our paperwork. Granted, we looked into it and all, but still.
Today I found a site from a lawyer who does and has experienced the immigration papermill and his site looks promissing. Especially when he says you can email him with your situation and he will make up a fee for you. He also works on the internet, so he can press the mailingcosts down and we can make long dialogues without having to pay. I'm hoping he can help out without sucking out all my money.

For the rest, my compy is up and running and I am soooooo glad. I've been playing GuildWars and its kickass. New builds too, the kind of class combinations people think suck, but actually rule.

Anyway. Tomorrow is a friend of Mika's birthday and we go to set things up and afterwards take her with us for a sleepover. Mika is very excited and I hope she won't turn into a little brat when her friend is around.

I hope that this immigration thing can get started, that problems are going to go away and I do not have to fear of leaving my family here for some stupid reason. Its not what I imagined when I was a kid, but this is our life and we're slowly building it up. In a couple of years, I will live at the cape in Nova Scotia and Heather will hopefully have a good job and Mika will be a smart kid in school.
Me ? I'll be doing the dishes and cleaning the house.... and hopefully playing my games.

Here's hoping to the future. And I can say that in the future I will have a son...
It has been forseennnnnn.....

Murk out.

    <lj:music>Irresistible Force - 12 O'Clock</lj:music>

Ok. So I just tidied up the bed I just had a nearly 3 hour nap in this morning.
I was up at 6 and out of bed by 7 making pancakes for the family.

Anywaaaay. My birthday presents were awesome. I got Unreal 2, the Austin Powers collection, Futurama box volume 2 and 200 buckeroos from my mom, dad and grandparents.
And yesterday, while being in ze bieg corporat Wallmart, I bought me a 256MB, one triple A battery powered, USB plug and load Mp3 player from Creative, for 50 CAD. Thats about...45 euros tops.

So I'm pretty much geeking out about it. Its so awesome and we FINALLY turned the car cassetteplayer into a decent MP3 system. So yeah, its awesome. The basic idea is Caleb's.

And funny enough, if Heather and I have another baby and it turns out to be a boy, we are going to call him Caleb. She loves the name and well... I think its funny to have a son called what our own sloefson McSloef is called ;) But this is -if- we have another child.

I also bought my two girls some goodies. Heather has the new sneakers she wanted for over a month and I bought swimmingsuits and bathing suits for Mika, since she has lessons for another two weeks and she's growing out of them. I also bought a bigger tent.
Our kid sleeps in a tent, not in a bed. Probably some damage from El Assholio Micheal, she feels safe in her tent. Now she was also stuffing it with tons of toys, so she had little room and was almost hanging out of it with her feet. So we found a 3 person tent for 30 bucks and gave it to her.
Its huge. Its like a little room in her room. And she loves it.

So life has been treating me well and I probably even get to play GW later today, outside of my now scheduled playtime. Being a parent to a wild and advanced kid( I say this because she's getting the size of a 6 year old, bodypower of it and parts of the intelligence of one but is only just 3 ) is exhausting, not to mention a fulltime thing. So I get thursday afternoon and evening to go nuts.
So yeah.. Treat for me,

And as a little sidenote, for juicy gossip ;P the sexlive goes like this per "event"
Benjamin 1, Heather 3. I think you get the idea ;D

Murk out.

Short update.
I've stopped disciplinning Mika to see how she will react if I'm trying to be her friend more then a dictorian father.

Went to see Superman Returns and I can say, if you ever liked the movies, this one fits in nicely. They show it like you would see a earlier movie, the special effects aid and do not dominate the movie, its a whopping 2 hours and a 20 minutes and Lex Luthor is seen brushing his teeth while Lois Lane snoops around.
I could say more, but that would be spoilers.

Now just to wait till Umpa gets home from work to open my presents. Probably for the stress induce I had and I gues it doesn't heal away.

So yeah, alone in the house with Mika and Heather. We tried to sleep in, but Mika woke up. We're going to try to let her sleep in since there is no-one walking around at 6.30.

So I'm now a dad... and having to get Fathersdaycards makes me feel kinda old. Ohwell.
I've been thinking so much about updating here, but believe me, things are just... time-consuming.
I can't have time off untill after 8pm, and then usually Heather needs to do homework or we just want to relax for an hour or two before going to bed because our little one is up by 6pm. Oh yeah...

So I'll give you a nice picture of her right now, to fullfill everyones desire to read my journal.
I've been thinking alot about taking pictures to show everyone what I think is weird or special or different here. Like... having over 15 different kinds of coffee beans you can grind up yourself in the groccerystore so you have fresh fresh fresh coffee. I know WE don't have that kinda thing.
All you coffeelovers in Belgium will feel with me on this one.

Going to church today. Yeah... Murk going to church. Well there is a picknic afterwards, so I kinda have to come along. But still.

Alot of stuff happend. That and I still need to figure out if the vidcard is the thing thats broken on my own poor crippled PC. ;_;

So untill next update, which I hope to do sooner, enjoy the munchkin, who's currently dancing on Radar Love.

Came from across the border.

So yeah. Enjoy the mental picture of having to go throw up 4 times since you went to bed and ending up in the bathtub for various reasons.

Murk out.

    <lj:music>Underworld - Twist</lj:music>

The last few days have been quite normal, I suppose. Not that I'm used to having a normal life; getting up around 6 or 7am, getting to bed before 11pm.
Ordered my computerparts. Since ThinkGeek didn't allowed me to order that one special case for 99$, I bought a Sonata II one. So quite and comfort. And I also got a 19" Samsung screen for like 280 euros. According to most reviews and what is actually available here in Canada, it seemed the right thing for the right money. Internet order, should have it delivered in like 5 business days. All in all, wich is with an additional optical mouse and shipping, the total was 620 CAD, or a 480 euros. Quite happy with that.

I'm really tired and its not even 9pm.

Played some StarCraft and Diablo1 while waiting for my own PC. I saw two new episodes from the Zim collection. I think my next set will be Cowboy Bebop.

Ahwell, g'night.
Miss you guys.

    <lj:music>Gorillaz - Dirty Harry</lj:music>

So this is going to be my new LJ, for all my friends, to follow any crazy antics. So far, I'm just tired and groggy, might be jetlag.

So my depart went relativly smoothly, London airport excists in 4 huge ass terminals and they had local drugpoochies, wich didn't smelt anything ;P

I got my seat pronoted to businessclass and its just like in the movies and series; classy, comfy and service. Seats are big enough to lay down in flat( automated controle, yo), legspace, fancy restaurant food, 7 movies and a few series to watch during the flight, wich was on a boeing 747 btw.

The flight had a half an hour delay and cause of that and slowass work from immigration, I missed my flight. They booked me on the next one, wich left about 2 hours later. In the worst case, I had to wait till 21:40 till I could fly, but that luckely wasn't the case.

The flight itself was okay, I arrived and saw my girl and daughter.
The hotel was full and noisey with hockeyfans or -players. Mika cried and had to be hushed for an hour cause she was cranky. I was frustrated alot and tried to jump in the dad-role to quickly, things went a bit bad. The trip home was okay. Before we left, we visited "Toys R us" to get Mika some toys, cause its a huge ass store and its not like she can get there any time of the year. To my surprise, they had alot of Blizzard boxes, even still the StarCraft battlechest.

Went home, felt depressed cause I saw my bro, vark's MSN having a sad message.

...And now its almost 9am, but it feels like Pm.
More updates about to come, but currently I'm going to try to get my head straight and settled in.

Oh yeah, my girl got me the Invader Zim collecters box with new eps ;P
